For information that in no longer needed or has to be legally retained, Stratacare Australia will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify in accordance with the Data Destruction Standard.


For purposes of communicating Stratacare Australia may send communications by mail, telephone, email or other electronic methods for example through a website or via the StrataMax owners’ portal.

If a client indicates a preferred method of communication, we will attempt to use that particular method where practical and in accordance with legislation.


Our website server automatically will recognise and store the domain name of visitors to the Stratacare Australia website. Additionally, our website utilises both first and third party ‘cookies’ which may automatically collect information from you such as how long you visited the website for.

For any email sent to Stratacare Australia, the sender’s email address will be recorded automatically by our email messaging service and for normal communication with you, this recorded email address will be used unless we are advised otherwise by you.

Additionally, emails (including attachment) may contain personal information and are intended solely for the individual or entity to whom it is addressed. This information is confidential and may be subject to legal or other professional privilege. Confidentiality or privilege is not waived if an email is received by an individual or entity in error.

Social Media

Stratacare Australia may participate in social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. If relevant for the provision of our services, we may record the nature of a discussed topic by an individual and their name to follow up in further offline communications where we will take notes.

Furthermore, social media platforms handle personal information for their own purposes and privacy policies. Stratacare Australia is not responsible for privacy practices and policies of social media platforms and suggest you independently review their privacy policies.

Direct marketing and spam

We will only use your information for direct marking (advertising, updates etc) if you have given express or implied consent to receive it.

We will only ever send you direct marking communications that are consistent with our obligations under Australian Privacy Principles and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Your rights to access personal information

You have the right to ask for access to any information that we hold about you. Stratacare Australia will always give you permission to access your personal information unless there is a lawful reason not to.

To ensure we don’t give out information to the wrong person we will ask you to verify your identity. If we refuse to give out personal information we will always provide a reason why.

Your rights to correct or complain

We are only allowed to, and only want to, keep your personal information if it is correct.

At any time you can contact us and seek access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you.
